From Places Few and Far, Profile on the opening of Few and Far, London, Spaces 2008

In introductions, Brompton Road store Few and Far has been labelled many things: a ‘concept emporium’, ‘eclectic boutique’, or “retail paradise” to name but a few. However, for me a visit to Few and Far is simply like coming home. I say this not because my humble home is an ever-changing showcase for carefully-curated treasures from the four corners of the globe, but because this store has soul!

Sitting on a noisy corner of Brompton Road in Knightsbridge, Few and Far is housed in a charming Victorian edifice and encircled by lush greenery; extraordinarily it commands a hushed silence despite its busy surroundings. As soon as you step through its doors you are transported into a different world; the elegant floor-to-ceiling windows (which have been known to display vintage cars and gypsy caravans) let in a light that transports you to a place of comfort and endless possibilities…
