He banked hard to the right, trying to see if he could outmaneuver the Space Net and the eighteen ships pulling it.

The normal stars looked wonderful! They had survived! " Proton ordered, staring at the Imagizer in front of him. The swirling Blue Whirlpool was now gone, vanished as fast as it had appeared. " Kincaid answered. Around them the ship went silent as Kincaid moved up beside Captain Proton to stare at the Imagizer. Proton couldn't believe what he was seeing. At first glance everything looked normal. Stars, blackness of space, a planet or two circling nearby suns. But these weren't the stars or the world of the Incorporated Planets.

He pointed down the tunnel. Through the dust Proton caught a glimpse of a Nanoid. It stood no more than a foot tall at most, perfectly formed, just like the giant women, with gold skin and solid muscles. The Nanoid carried the small gun that had been making the zipping sounds when fired. Then suddenly the floor seemed to be alive with the creatures, filling the cavern from one side to the other. And they were charging their position! Hundreds of them! Maybe thousands of tiny men with tiny guns!
